The Word of God

The words below are not mine, but have been shared by permission from the author. I can just echo AMEN. Hopefully it will encourage you as it has encouraged me. The author is anonymous by request.

The word of God has been powerfully under assault beginning when Satan first lied about it to Adam and Eve. He continues that assault today from those outside the church and even from within the church.
To those in the secular world, the religious world at large, in the synagogues and in the church, Jesus makes a statement originally directed to the Sadducees, but which I believe applies to all people for all time. In Matt. 22:29 Jesus said: you are in error because you do not know the scriptures or the power of God.
I pray that each of us will come to know the scriptures and the power of God
which is revealed to us in the Word of God. I pray that we His people will walk daily with God in His word so that His power to transform our lives by the renewing of our minds can and will act on our lives.
Hebrews 4:12: For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two
edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and spirit, of joints and marrow and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
We will not change or be changed apart from the power of the word of God.
Hezekiah wanted his life to change after Isaiah told him he was going to die. Just as with Hezekiah, our lives can never change for the better in an eternal sense unless we humble ourselves before God with a broken spirit and contrite heart and obey His word.
We who have eyes to see may we see.
We who have ears to hear, may we hear the word of God from 2 Kings 20:1-7
I pray that God will bless us through the reading and hearing of His word.
