A Welcoming Church<\/strong><\/p>\n We are glad you are considering visiting with us! After the service we invite those who are new guests to stop by the Welcome Center in the lobby. We\u2019d like to meet you and give you a small gift to say thank you for worshiping with us. If you would like to let us know you were with us, you can fill out the communication card under the shelf in the pew in front of you and drop it in the collection plate when it is passed. We ask you to fill out our Communication Card here.<\/a><\/p>\n An Understanding Church<\/strong><\/p>\n Many people searching for a church want to know what to expect when they arrive. Friendly Avenue understands visiting a new church can be challenging, unnerving, or even frustrating and scary. We want you to know what to expect when you arrive, so you can feel more at home, and able to enjoy your time with our family of believers.<\/p>\n An Independent\u00a0Church<\/b><\/p>\n Friendly is an independent, nondenominational church led by locally appointed elders. All our activities, practices, and common beliefs are governed by the authority of the Bible, God\u2019s word.<\/p>\n A Diverse Church<\/strong><\/p>\n We are a diverse community of believers continually being changed by the Spirit of God into the image of Christ as we WORSHIP God, STUDY His word, and SERVE others.<\/p>\n A Family-Friendly Church<\/strong><\/p>\n A nursery room is available upstairs during our service for children birth to 18 months. Toddler Care is available for children 18-36 months during class time. The nursery room and Toddler Care are available during our entire service, beginning at 10:15 AM.<\/p>\n A Worshipful Church<\/strong><\/p>\n Singing at Friendly is participatory in that we invite everyone to sing songs to one another and to the Lord. To encourage this, we do not use a choir or band when we get together on Sunday mornings; rather, we leave room for the voice of the believer to express what the heart feels & the mind thinks.<\/p>\n A Communing Church<\/strong><\/p>\n Communion is shared each week and offered to those who belong to Christ. If you belong to Christ we belong to you and you belong to us.<\/p>\n A Caring Church<\/strong><\/p>\n Responses: After the sermon the elders will be available in the prayer room for anyone seeking prayer and the spiritual support of the church. The prayer room is located at the back of the auditorium behind the glass windows. This is a safe, confidential place to pray with others.
