The Spirit Acts: A Trip to Malta

Today, we worship the King who steps into every shipwreck—not as the guest we invite, but as the Host who receives us soaked, shivering, and stripped bare. In Acts 28, Paul crashes onto Malta as a prisoner-guest beside pagan strangers whose fire offers survival in a closed world of justice and fate; yet the gospel breaks through as he shakes off the viper, heals the sick, and turns their kindness into hope. Carried along by God's promise, he finally reaches the end of his exhausting journey to Rome. There he experiences courage in the presence of his brothers and sisters in Christ. Sound familiar? It should. That’s our story. Carried by God's promise; encouraged by one another.
