Today’s worship is formed around Mark 10:1-31, where Jesus takes us on a journey from self-righteousness to a childlike faith. There we discover the true meaning of receiving and entering the Kingdom of God. Some people try to force their way into the Kingdom, while others humble themselves, receive it like a child, and truly enter in. Jesus' interactions with the Pharisees and the good, rich man teach us that following the law and doing good is not the pathway into the Kingdom. Instead, we must receive the Kingdom like a child, with humility, submission, and repentance.
Our theme for 2023 is 'Love. Learn. Love.', which is taken from Matthew 22:34-40 and Matthew 28:16-20. Throughout the year we will give our attention to the teachings of Jesus and what it means to follow Him @home, w/the church, &beyond.
