The Old Roots of a New Hope: Moses

The Old Roots of a New Hope: Moses

Today we step into Exodus 12 for the next installment of our series, Foundation Stones. To set the record straight at the beginning, this is not actually a sermon about Moses; it is not just a historical look at the defiance of Pharaoh. Today’s message is about Jesus and the cosmic meaning of the cross—a scarlet thread of rescue that runs straight through the brickyards of Egypt, reaches its climax on Calvary, but began long ago in the dirt of the Garden. The scriptures pull back the canvas of time to reveal a single, unfolding epic of cosmic war between the Serpent trying to strangle the promise in the cradle and a fiercely faithful God protecting His offspring. Let’s gather around the table of our Victorious King as he shields our souls, folds us into His unyielding promise, and commissions us to plant seeds of The Seed into the hearts of the nations.
