While the modern world obsessively tries to police our language through linguistic engineering, scripture reveals that our words are a kind of dipstick of a much deeper source—the heart. Can we simply will ourselves into better speech or mute a salt spring to make it fresh; or must we move beyond mere etiquette to experience true spiritual transformation?
This morning we draw near to the God who give us a new and renewed heart by the Holy Spirit. Praise God, the Holy Spirit can cap the toxic wells of our flesh and open springs of grace—turning our speech from a weapon of mayhem into a tool of the Kingdom.
