The Spirit Acts: Repent and Be Baptized

Today we continue our teaching from Acts 2:37-41 were we will explore the powerful call to repentance and baptism. Today’s message will explore five key questions surrounding these foundational acts of faith and their profound implications for our lives. To lay out the pathway we will walk together this morning, we will think about: • The Divine Origin of Peter's Message: Peter's call to repent and be baptized is a continuation of God's message, rooted in the Old Testament prophets, proclaimed by John the Baptist and Jesus, and commissioned by Jesus himself. • Repentance and Baptism Are for Everyone: The message of salvation is universal, extending to all who are called by the Lord. • The Significance of Baptism in Jesus' Name: Baptism is in Jesus' name, and it connects to calling on the name of the Lord for salvation. • Assurance Through Repentance and Baptism: Repentance and baptism offer assurance of receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit and the forgiveness of sins. • Lifestyle Implications of Repentance and Baptism: These faith responses lead to tangible changes and new ways of living within the Kingdom of God.
