Jesus asks the question: who is the faithful and wise manager the master leaves behind to take care of his servants while he is away (Luke 12:40-48)? The wise manager is a shrewd person who can make timely and insightful decisions that save us from trouble in the present and prepare for us a secure future. Jesus calls his followers to grow into wisdom, so we can live shrewdly.
This morning we will think specifically about the application of shrewdness as we follow Jesus into the virtual world—what we affectionately call TV land. In that land, trust and truth play hide and seek with us (they can be difficult to find at times). Thankfully, Jesus calls us to and trains us to live with shrewd discernment wherever we go.
Our theme for 2023 is 'Love. Learn. Love.', which is taken from Matthew 22:34-40 and Matthew 28:16-20. Throughout the year we will give our attention to the teachings of Jesus and what it means to follow Him @home, w/the church, &beyond.
