Strong Hands

Strong Hands

Today we gather at the table of our Lord, together, in celebration and remembrance. We celebrate our forgiveness and being included in the family of believers belong to Christ's body. We are the body of Christ, the living temple in whom God dwells by his Spirit. Let all of us, who are so called, worship together! Our passage today is Zechariah 8:9-23. This word is the final encouragement given to those who were rebuilding the temple. That encouragement is summarize by the phrase, "Let your hands be strong." It is a reminder of God's promise to turn that which is cursed into a blessing, the importance of our continuing to love one another, and God's vision to bless all the people among the various nations on earth.
