Our primary text this morning is Matthew 2:13-18. There are several secondary readings that are instrumental to the message if you want to give them a glance: Genesis 12:1-7, Hosea 11:1-11, Matthew 28:16-20, Galatians 3:15-29, and Ephesians 2:11-22. And by the way, if you walk away this morning wondering why we spent so much time talking about the nations, nationality, and diversity at Christ’s table, remember the Magi who came to worship Jesus traveled from the East; this is not an insignificant piece of information. When we think about Jesus being the Son of God, our next thought might be…God’s promised blessings are for the nations!
