How Esther was unstoppable with God’s help

“On the third day Esther put on her royal robes and stood in the inner court of the palace in front of the king’s hall.  The king was sitting on his royal throne facing the entrance.” (Esther 5:1)   Esther had to be brave to go to the king, even though she could’ve been killed.  She had faith in God; therefore she was unstoppable while doing His commands.

Queen Vashti of Persia disobeyed her husband (King Xerxes), so he kicked her out of the kingdom and she was not his wife anymore. So the king needed a new wife. Esther and many other young girls were taken to the king’s palace to receive year long beauty treatments before seeing the king. When Esther saw the king he was in love with her. Esther became the queen of Persia.

Mordecai, Esther’s cousin, was sitting at the palace gate when he overheard two of the palace guards talking of a plan to kill King Xerxes. Mordecai told Queen Esther of the plot, and she told the king, but gave the credit to Mordecai. The king had these men hanged.

At this time the king honored one of his noblemen, Haman. The king told the royal officials to kneel down to Haman. Mordecai would not bow down, because he was a Jew and he was only supposed to bow down to God. Haman convinced the king to sign a law saying that all Jews would be destroyed on the thirteenth day of the twelfth month. When Mordecai heard of the new law he wept and put ashes on his head. He eventually persuaded Esther to go to the king, and ask him to change the law. If the king had not liked Esther so much she could have been killed for going to him without being summoned. The king changed the law and allowed the Jews to fight against their enemies. The king had Haman hung on the gallows Haman had prepared for Mordecai.
